First heard this on a tape pirated from a CD I bought in the 1980s at St Tikhon's Seminary in the Poconos of Pennsylvania.  In the late 1990s, connected to the internet and discovered Novokuznetsk.  It's on their second CD album.  Contacted Dmitriy Merkurev, who was in Novokuznetsk then, but since moved to Moscow.  He's one of the tenors on the recordings.  He kindly furnished me the manuscript.  It's also on the Kiev Caves lavra Christmas recording.  They and the first group repeat "Mmmm..." at the end; Novokuznetsk doesn't.  I've tried to render this in English; so far haven't succeeded.  I'm not good at rhyming verses, I tell myself.  I think I should start with something else I don't care as much about, then tackle this again.  I love it.
